The Dension iPod adapter plays high quality music from your iPod through your existing radio's CD changer port. There is no longer a need for cassette adapters, cigarette lighter chargers or bulky FM transmitters. Using the iPod Car Kit

Use your radio or iPod to navigate through playlists, albums and songs and access the simple to use ipod interface. The Dension Gateway interprets the radio controls from your vehicle to the iPod to emulate a fully loaded CD changer with advanced features.


The dock cable is suitable for installing in the glove box or arm rest storage. The stereos disc track seek buttons can also be used to select tracks within the currently selected iPod playlist folder. Your stereo will display song information and browsing if supported.



Play your iPod Music In the Car

Connect your iPod and that's it! The audio from the iPod will output through the original vehicles audio system, with volume controlled by the radio (or steering wheel stalk controls where fitted). The stereos disc track seek buttons can also be used to select tracks within the currently selected iPod playlist folder. All music files are played back on the car’s speakers, front and back !

The Dension Gateway can be controlled in two ways

Dension User Interface – navigate via the radio’s CD Changer buttons and steering wheel controls (where applicable) with this method you can cycle through playlists and select your favourite tracks at the touch of a button and without even removing you fingers from the steering wheel in most cars. The Dension Gateway automatically maps the first five playlists on your iPod to the 1-5 CD Changer buttons on your stereo, although the iPod is disabled in this menu the iPod will display the ID3 tagging on the iPod screen (and also displayed on compatible radio’s text screens)

iPod User Interface - the Gateway also allows you to control your music from your iPod, retaining all the features and functions you would usually use to control it, this method is much more in depth as you can cycle through playlists, artists, albums and songs individually. However this method is meant for passengers and not recommenced if you are driving.
