The Brodit and the THB Bury brand of holders have a built-in charging cable to power and charge a mobile phone or Pda in your vehicle. The charging device connects to the mobile phone automatically when you put the phone in the holder, the power is drawn directly from the vehicles battery. The holder is attached onto the dashboard using a bracket to avoid drilling and damaging the facia.

The THB Bury however supports an auxiliary antenna which will slightly improve the reception and signal strength. The THB Bury cradle can also be unclipped from the base plate allowing you to replace the cradle if you decide to change your handset in the future. The Brodit will require an engineer to replace the cradle for you. A Brodit cradle is available for hundreds of mobile phones, PDAs and GPS devices. Whereas the Bury System9 is only available for popular handsets and is slightly more expensive.
