Looking for an upgrade that will let you use your iPhone apps on the factory dashboard display with new improved features:
- Full screen mode at 1280 x 480 resolution.
- Control via Steering wheel buttons.
- Improved performance and stability.
This upgrade will let you benefit from many of your iPhone Apps; Apple Maps, Waze, Spotify, Whatsapp, Siri and other applications on the iDrive screen without actually touching the phone.
It comes with an USB cable that has a socket at its end for USB Multimedia and charging port. Apart from connecting the device to the iDrive system and charging your iPhone, you can use it to play videos from a USB thumb drive! It is advised, though, to use an original Apple cable for better transmission quality.
The kit contains a Multimedia Interface (MMI)—an original BimmerTech module that makes it easy to add Rear View Camera to your order for a much lower price.
CarPlay MMI Prime supports devices running iOS up to 13.X version. With the newest iOS, you can take advantage of Waze and Google Maps (including offline Maps).
CarPlay MMI gives you the chance to play music through the BMW stereo system. Our CarPlay MMI Plus uses the factory car microphone for Siri Voice commands. This means that you can access your iTunes library, learn the latest news or send texts hands-free.
Unlike activating the factory-original Apple CarPlay, our upgrade is compatible with F-series cars that have both newer and older iDrive generations (e.g. ENTRY, NBT, NBT EVO ID4, etc.).

Note: Vehicle must be equipped with AUX/USB, dependent on the vehicle, to allow sound output.
