"description": "Retrofit Car Stereo Installation - Steering Wheel Control Retention - Porsche\nSteering wheel control interface and adapter cable for Porsche 911, Boxster, Cayman and Cayenne cars.\nThe CANbus interface and radio adapter cable is plug and play, so no wires to cut or amend. This interface allows the retention of steering wheel controls after an aftermarket car stereo upgrade, i.e steering wheel functions such as volume, track skip, source, mute and telephone button use are all possible after installing a new car audio system.\nThe CANbus interface will also provide ignition, illumination, reverse gear, handbrake and speed pulse signals to the new stereo.\nThe cable adapts from the Porsche ISO connector in the car to a standard aftermarket ISO connector. This replaces the need for a separate ISO radio replacement adapter cable.\nThe CANbus steering wheel control interface is built in to the adapter cable for a plug and play installation.\nThis interface will allow the original audio control buttons on the steering wheel to work with the new retrofit radio. The interface will control the volume, track skip, source, mute and telephone buttons.\nNote: the operation of these buttons can be dependent on the vehicle specification and radio compatibility.\nThe CANbus interface will also provide key present ignition, illumination, reverse gear, handbrake and speed pulse outputs. A key present ignition means the stereo will turn on with the first click of the key and stay on until the key is removed from the ignition barrel.\nThis interface needs to be used with a 49- series patch lead (see Recommended Add Ons above).
