BMW 3 Series (E46) Double DIN Car Radio Fascia Adapter Panel (RIGHT HAND DRIVE)

Car radio fascia adapter panel to allow the fitting of an aftermarket double DIN car radio upgrade on a BMW 3-Series. The fascia adaptor allows the fitting of an aftermarket radio into the dashboard by matching the shape, style and colour of the original radio.

This fascia fitting kit includes cutting guides and new panels to allow easier modification of the heater box which is needed to fit a full sized Double DIN radio into the vehicles dashboard.

If fitting a radio with a high level Single DIN chassis (Such as a Sony XAV-AX3250DB) then this kit allows fitting with no heater box modifications needed. If changing an original non-navigation radio, modifications need to be made to the centre console to relocate the heater controls.

Suitable for Saloon (sedan), Touring, Convertible, Coupe and Compact (Hatchback) body styles of the BMW E46 3-Series.

PLEASE NOTE: The radio surround, brackets and heater box modification panels will work on Right Hand Drive (RHD) 3-Series BMW models. Modification to the factory heater box is required to fit a unit with a full size double DIN chassis. We recommend this is done by a skilled car audio technician!

For models with original navigation systems climate control module relocation is not required.

Modification to the heater box can be avoided by fitting a radio with a compact/ single DIN rear chassis at the top the radio, such as the SONY XAV-AX3250DB shown below:

Below is a picture of an aftermarket head unit upgrade using this fascia kit with the original RHD centre console panel modified to fit the climate control module where the upper storage tray was.
