Return Policy
If you are in any doubt about the suitability of the product for your vehicle, please just ask us before you make the purchase. We will only be too happy to assist you. Feel free to contact us via email before making a purchase so that we can advise you on the correct product for your needs.
If you wish to return/cancel a product purchased from us, you may do so within 14 days of receiving it. Please contact us and include the order number to enable us to trace the item. We will refund the full price of the product (*) once we receive it. You must request a returns authorisation by email before sending back the goods. Ensure to state your order number and reason for return.
* For a refund or exchange, the product must be in otherwise ''as new'' condition, complete with any accessories and free gifts offered. Products returned must be in unopened original packaging with no damage to the packaging or item. Items returned that have been opened, with any damage to internal packaging or wrapping will be subject to a minimum 15% handling charge. Items returned that have been tested, trailed, or used will be subject to a minimum 40% handling charge. Any items returned damaged or with damaged or missing packing or contents, such as looms, connectors, remote controls, SD cards, instruction manuals etc. (this is not an exhaustive list) will also be charged back to the customer at full retail price. We will endeavour to process refunds as soon as the purchased goods have been received and checked. However, refunds may take up to 21 days before they show up on your bank account.
Please be aware that it is your (Customer's) responsibility to ensure the security and integrity of all packages/items you send back to us. If items are lost/damaged during transit you will be liable for all costs incurred. For this reason, we strongly suggest you pack all items securely and ship via a traceable method.
Special Order and Pre-Order
Special Order and Pre-Order items cannot be returned. These items are generally non-stock items and are specifically ordered in at the customer's (Buyer's) request.
Bargain Basement Items
** Items Purchased under our Bargain Basement section are heavily discounted and are non-returnable & non-refundable unless otherwise stated in the listing. These items will fall into one or more of the following categories:
- End of Line
- Damaged packaging or missing documentation, fixings, batteries, power cables and power supplies, or accessories
- Graded items with cosmetic imperfections
- Limited Quantity Sales items - stock items which will not be sold again.
- Customer Returns
- Used items
Where applicable, Returns will only be accepted for items which suffer from any manufacturing mechanical or electronic defects within the stipulated warranty/guarantee period. Mechanical defects such as used or missing adhesive backing is not covered under this limited warranty.
Delivery Issues
If there is an item missing in your order or you have received the wrong goods or goods received are damaged upon receipt, please contact us within 24 hours of receiving the delivery. Please provide your Order Number and a list of products that were missing from the order or the details of the goods sent to you that were incorrect or damaged.
You must notify us within 24 hours of receiving the order that an item was missing or damaged. Otherwise, we will deem that you are satisfied with all of the products that you ordered and received.
Installation Service
When placing an order with installation, the dates you select are not guaranteed but act as a guide. We will try our utmost to schedule you in for installation on the the dates you have selected, however, if this is not possible we will contact you with other dates.
NOTE: Please select dates after a minimum of 5 working days from the time of placing your order. Also, we do not schedule installations on Weekends and National Holidays. After placing your Order, please allow 2 to 3 working days for us to contact you to confirm the date and time for the installation. We will always contact you to confirm the date of installation even if we have booked you in for the dates you have requested.
Date of Installation
Please make yourself available with your vehicle and your products, if the products were delivered to your nominated delivery address, at the pre-arranged scheduled time and location.
If an Installation Engineer is left waiting on arrival at the nominated installation location, then they may need to leave, to ensure all other customer appointments are not affected. Our installer will allow up to 20 minutes for the customer and equipment to be made available, after this time the engineer will need to leave and a call out fee shall be charged. Our cancellation/call out fee/service call fee is set at £49 inc VAT. If an Engineer has to leave due to the above circumstances, the Customer will be required to contact the office and reschedule the installation.
Faulty Goods
All products supplied are covered by the terms and conditions of the Manufacturers Guarantee for a period of Twelve (12) months unless stated otherwise.
In the event of the goods becoming faulty due to a manufacturing defect, we will offer either a repair, exchange or refund if the fault occurs within 30 days of purchase. If the fault with your product occurs within its Manufacturer guarantee period (12 months from delivery, unless otherwise stated) we will offer you a prompt repair service in the first instance. In all cases we reserve the right to inspect the product and verify the fault first. All fault claims must be made in writing with clear explanation of fault and evidence of fault, (video, pictures). All goods that have developed a fault or are faulty have to be returned to us and the cost of the postage shall be paid by the Customer. We will pay for the item to be returned back to you once it is repaired. If the item cannot be repaired, an equivalent replacement will be provided.
In certain instances, we may send the customer a replacement item prior to receiving the original (faulty) item, this will be done in good faith. If the Customer fails to return the original item in a timely manner, we reserve the right to charge the Customer for the full value of the replacement item.
We do not cover faults caused by Accident, Neglect, Misuse, Tampering, Incorrect Installation, or Normal Wear and Tear.
The cost of additional services, such as installation are non-refundable once the installation has been carried out. This excludes instances where it has been proven that the cause of the fault in the purchased goods have been directly caused due to incorrect installation.
Items sold on this website are generally intended for normal domestic and consumer use. However, we strongly recommend that installation of the products sold on our site are installed by Qualified Professional Auto Electricians/Installers.
This policy does not affect your statutory rights.
Cancellations
Installation Service
In the event that an installation service appointment needs to be cancelled (or re-scheduled) we shall require a minimum 48 hours’ notice (Monday – Friday, excludes weekends and bank holidays), otherwise a cancellation fee of £49 inc. VAT will be charged.
If you wish to change the installation address, we shall require a minimum 48 hours’ notice (Monday – Friday, excludes weekends and bank holidays), otherwise we reserve the right to charge a cancellation fee of £49 inc. VAT.
If we are given incorrect details for a scheduled installation and we are unable to locate the address on the day of the installation, then a cancellation fee may apply.
If the equipment is not on-site when we arrive and we have not been informed of the non-arrival/misplacement or any other reason for this, then a cancellation fee of £49 inc. VAT. shall be charged.
If an installation is cancelled once the order has been despatched to the customer, and the customer requires an order refund then the delivery charge of the goods (if charged) shall not refundable.
Returned Goods (Also see RETURNS POLICY above)
If you are not totally satisfied with your purchase, for any reason, you have the right to cancel your order within 30 days from date of delivery for full refund less any applicable delivery charges. Special Order item cannot be returned.
Prior to returning any products, please contact us in writing within 14 days from the date of delivery. If you do not return goods within 30 days after you have received the delivery, your right to cancel will be revoked. The cancellation must be put to us in writing and the goods must be received by us within the statutory cancellation period.
We advise that items should be returned by the customer via an insured delivery method. Car specific parts may not be refundable in full, as these may fall into the Special Order or Pre Order category (please see below). If the returned parts are not received by us within the statutory cancellation period, then we reserve the right to refuse a refund.
It is the Customer’s responsibility to return any such items in a pristine saleable condition in the original packaging. You will be wholly responsible for the return of the goods and any associated costs of return. Any Goods received back incomplete, damaged or in any condition other than saleable ("Like New"), will
- NOT be refunded and will be returned to the Customer and the cost of return carriage shall be charged to the Customer. Or
- A deduction of a suitable value for replacing the missing or damaged items shall be made from the refundable value.

The cost of additional services, such as installation are non-refundable once the installation has been carried out. Installations will require some modification to the vehicle. In the event of any order cancellations or refunds, after the installation has been carried out, we will not be liable for returning the vehicle to its original state. A de-installation charge may be applicable in the event of any order cancellation or refund after the installation has been carried out.
Cancellation Of Special Order & Pre Order Items
Special Order Items cannot be cancelled once the order has been placed. These items are specifically ordered in at the Customer’s (Buyer's) request.
Late cancellations of Pre-Order items shall be subject to a 25% restocking fee. A 24 hour notice after placing the order is required for cancellation of Pre-Order Items. These items are generally non-stock items and are ordered in at the Customer's (Buyer's) request.
Other Services
Courier Services
If you’ve ordered any additional Postal Services for a product and choose to cancel your Order before Despatch, the additional Services will be automatically cancelled and refunded.
If you cancel an Order once the Order has been Despatched, we won’t be able to refund any charges/costs paid for these additional Services.
Installation Service
Once an installation date has been agreed and an Installation Engineer has been appointed and scheduled, any late Order cancellations related to the installation will result in a minimum charge of £49 inc. vat, to cover the cost of the Engineer's time. A minimum 48 hours’ notice (Monday – Friday, excludes weekends and bank holidays) must be provided in writing by the Customer to avoid any charges.
The cost of additional services, such as installation are non-refundable once the installation has been carried out.
Installations will require some modification to the vehicle. In the event of any order cancellations or refund requests, after the installation has been carried out, we will not be liable for returning the vehicle to its original state.
3rd Party Product Installation
If a Customer makes a request to Install 3rd Party products, it shall be the Customer's responsibility to ensure the product to be installed is not defective, missing parts or missing fitments. The Customer shall also be responsible for ensuring the correct product and vehicle information has been provided to Car Communications Ltd prior to the installation date, this should be done in writing to avoid any uncertainties.
In such circumstances, where the installation is not possible or may remain incomplete due to vehicle and product incompatibility or missing product components, the Customer shall still be liable for the Full installation charges once the Engineer has arrived on site, regardless of whether the installation takes place or not. If the installation needs to be completed at a later date, due to the above-mentioned circumstances, an Engineer re-visit shall need to be scheduled and additional charges will apply.
In instances where the Product(s) requiring to be installed are not purchased from Car Communications Ltd but supplied by the customer, Car Communications Ltd shall not be liable for any incompatibilities with the vehicle, missing fitments or defective 3rd Party products. Whether this be before, during or after installation. The customer will still be liable for the Full installation charge in any case.
Limitation of Liability
We will not be liable for any loss or damage caused by us in circumstances where:
There Is No Breach Of A Legal Duty Of Care Owed To You By Us; And/Or
Such loss or damage is not reasonably foreseeable.
We will not be liable for any loss or damage caused wholly or mainly by your breach of these Conditions.
Our liability shall not in any event include losses related to any business of a customer including but not limited to lost data, lost profits or business interruption.
Nothing in these Conditions shall:
Exclude or limit our liability for death or personal injury resulting from our acts or omissions or those of our servants, agents or employees; or
Limit your rights as a consumer under applicable UK law.
All Services and recommendations are provided on a commercially reasonable basis. Although we will provide the Services with reasonable knowledge, skill and care, we make no warranty that the Services or recommendations will meet your (customer's) exact requirements or that they will always be available or be compatible with your (customer's) vehicle.
The Goods, where new, are sold with the benefit of and subject to the terms set out in any warranty or guarantee given by the manufacturer of the Goods. This is in addition to your legal rights in relation to Goods which are faulty or which otherwise do not conform to the legally required standard.
Each provision of this section operates separately. If any part is disallowed, or is not effective, the other parts will continue to apply even after our agreement has been terminated or cancelled.
Car Communications Ltd reserve the right to cancel any order for any reason. Possible reasons for cancellation include, but are not limited to the following:
- Potentially fraudulent order - Before shipping orders, we run a check to make sure they are legitimate. If the check fails, we may cancel your order.
- Incorrect pricing - Due to the volatile market for collectible products, sometimes there are major fluctuations in price. Therefore, we reserve the right to remove any item from any order and provide a full refund to the customer for that item.
- Non-Payment - If payment is not received within a reasonable amount of time after the order has been placed, we may cancel an order without notice.
- Discontinued products and Products not available due to Manufacturing or logistical issues which are out of our hands.
- Location - Installation for some products will be restricted to certain locations.
