Volkswagen (Composition/ Discover) Single DIN car stereo upgrade fitting kit (Without SWC)

Complete stereo upgrade fitting kit to install a Single DIN aftermarket car stereo in select Volkswagen vehicles (2015 onwards) with factory Composition or Discover radio systems. 

This head unit fitting kit includes:

• Double Fakra to DIN aerial adapter (Phantom Power) with Bullet connector (21-139K)
• Quad-lock to ISO radio adapter harness, with CANbus ignition (20-186-IGN)
• Single DIN fascia adapter with removable pocket (50-172)

PLEASE NOTE: This is for a new style (2015 onwards) Quad-lock connector used on select VW vehicles. This can be identified by the 2 larger pins in the corner of the connector

Double Fakra to DIN aerial adapter (Phantom Power) with Bullet connector (21-139K)

Double Fakra to DIN antenna adapter cable with 12v phantom power from a male bullet connection. This antenna adapter cable adapts from the original Double Fakra connector in the vehicle to a standard aftermarket radio DIN antenna connection for the fitting of a stereo upgrade.

Quad-lock to ISO radio adapter harness with CANbus ignition (20-186-IGN)

The interface generates a key present ignition supply so no extra ignition feed needs to be provided. The key present ignition feature will continue to give an ignition supply until the key is removed from the ignition barrel.

Single DIN flush fit fascia (50-172)

Car radio fascia adaptor panel to allow the fitting of an aftermarket Single DIN car radio upgrade. The fascia adaptor allows the fitting of an aftermarket radio into the dashboard by matching the shape, style and colour of the original radio. This fascia kit comes with a removable pocket. For double DIN installations, the central bar needs to be cut out and a radio cage used.

Compatibility

This fitting kit is compatible with Volkswagen original head units fitted with the newer quadlock and a double Fakra connection, Please see pictures below.

• Please note that some vehicles have original DAB. This is not retained with this kit and will require 21-037 Fakra to SMB adapter.
• This kit does not retain original reverse cameras or USB and AUX ports. Please see the other items listed against your car and original head unit to see if these are available as they vary by model and originally fitted radio.
• Not suitable for original amplified systems (Dynaudio, Fender).
