Volkswagen Single DIN car stereo upgrade fitting kit (Without SWC) Twin Fakra

Complete stereo upgrade fitting kit to install a Single DIN aftermarket car stereo head unit in various Volkswagen car models. Fits VW vehicles with original RCD300, RCD500 or RNS MFD-2 radios

This head unit fitting kit includes:

• Twin Fakra antenna adapter (12v Phantom power) with bullet connection (21-128K)
• Quad-lock to ISO radio adapter harness, with CANbus ignition (20-156-IGN)
• Single DIN fascia adapter with removable pocket (50-172)

Twin Fakra antenna adapter (12v Phantom power) with bullet connection (21-128K)

Twin fakra to DIN antenna adapter cable with 12v phantom power from a male bullet connection. This antenna adapter cable adapts from the original twin fakra connectors in the vehicle to a standard aftermarket radio DIN antenna connection for the fitting of a stereo upgrade.

Quad-lock to ISO radio adapter harness with CANbus ignition (20-156-IGN)

The interface generates a key present ignition supply so no extra ignition feed needs to be provided. The key present ignition feature will continue to give an ignition supply until the key is removed from the ignition barrel.

Single DIN flush fit fascia (50-172)

Car radio fascia adaptor panel to allow the fitting of an aftermarket Single DIN car radio upgrade. The fascia adaptor allows the fitting of an aftermarket radio into the dashboard by matching the shape, style and colour of the original radio. This fascia kit comes with a removable pocket. For double DIN installations the central bar has to be cut out and a radio cage used.

Compatibility

This fitting kit is compatible with Volkswagen cars fitted with original RCD300 and RCD500 head units that have a twin Fakra antenna connection, Please see pictures below.

PLEASE NOTE: This kit does not provide any interface for the steering wheel controls, if you wish to retain original steering wheel controls and have an original RCD300, RCD500 or RNS MFD-2 Radio then please use FK-172-SWC1-T
