Land Rover Freelander 2 car stereo fitting kit (Basic Audio with Parking Sensors)

Complete fitting kit to allow you to change the original factory fitted car radio in a Land Rover Freelander 2 with basic audio system for a Double DIN after market unit and retain use of the original parking sensor tones.

This head unit fitting kit includes:

Antenna adapter (21-123)

This cable converts the original antenna connector in the car, known as a Fakra connector, to a standard aftermarket antenna connector, known as a DIN connector. The adapter cable has a built in module which provides a phantom power feed to the original antenna in the car. A phantom power feed is a 12v power supply that is sent up the centre wire of the antenna cable, this powers the amplifier built into the original antenna. The antenna adapter cable has a loose wire which needs to be connected to the 12v antenna power output of the new aftermarket stereo.

Steering control and parking sensor retention interface (29-658-PDC)

Special interface for Freelander 2 with standard audio system. Car Audio Steering wheel interface allowing use of original buttons with a new aftermarket head-unit. CAN interface included with 12v ignition, and parking buzzer retention. Includes parking buzzers to maintain PDC/ original parking sensor tones.

Universal SWC patch lead (29-025)

Universal patch lead to be used with In car Tec 29- series steering wheel control interfaces. This cable plugs into the ICT control box and connects to the 3.5mm socket or single wire on the back of the new head-unit. This item has loose wires and leads so it can be configured to suit the brand of radio being fitted.

Double DIN fascia and fitting cage (50-853)

Car radio fascia adaptor panel to allow the fitting of an aftermarket Double Din car radio upgrade. The fascia adaptor allows the fitting of an aftermarket radio into the dashboard by matching the shape, style and colour of the original radio. This fascia is supplied with a fitting cage so no additional fitting cage is required. The fascia adapter will give a flush mount and professional appearance to the installation. The fascia is designed to fit various Land Rover cars.

PLEASE NOTE: Suitable for Land Rover Freelander 2 vehicles with audio systems, vehicles with the Alpine Premium audio systems will require the amplifier to be bypassed.
