Porsche 911, Boxster, Cayman (2012-16) Double DIN Car Stereo Upgrade Fitting Kit (CDR31/ BOSE AUDIO)
Complete stereo upgrade fitting kit to install a Double DIN aftermarket car stereo head unit and retain the use of the steering wheel audio controls in select Porsche 911, Boxster and Cayman (2012-2016) car models with CDR31 systems and Bose audio.
This Head Unit Fitting Kit Includes:
- Amplifier bypass cable (20-330)
- Dual Fakra antenna adapter (21-138)
- Steering wheel control interface (49-POR-04)
- Universal steering control interface patch lead (49-025)
- Double DIN fascia fitting kit (50-981)
Amplifier Bypass Cable (20-330)
Amplifier bypass cable for Porsche cars built after 2012 with PCM 3.0 and newer. Allows you to connect a new aftermarket radio directly to the cars speakers after bypassing the original amplifier which is under the front seat while retaining the original subwoofer and its dedicated amplifier. This bypass cable is 2.5m long which will reach the amplifier under the front seat of the 911 (991), Boxster and Cayman (981).
Dual/ Double Male Fakra to Male DIN Antenna Adapter Cable For Non Amplified Systems (21-138)
Dual/ Double Fakra Aerial adapter cable for vehicles that have twin non amplified original antennas. This cable converts the cars existing Duel/ Double Fakra aerial plug to an aftermarket DIN type used by most car radio manufacturers.
Steering Wheel Control Interface (49-POR-04)
Car Audio Steering wheel interface allowing use of original buttons (including telephone button) with a new aftermarket head-unit. Use with Porsche cars with CAN bus and Quadlock connectors behind the radio.
The CANbus interface will generate an ignition power supply to the new radio. it will also give out an illumination signal, (orange) speed pulse signal (pink), reverse gear positive output (Purple), Handbrake negative (Green) and Mute out (Yellow/Black)
Universal Patch Lead (49-025)
This cable plugs into the ICT control box and connects to the 3.5mm socket or single wire on the back of the new head-unit. This item has loose wires and leads so it can be configured to suit the brand of radio being fitted. Use for Alpine, Clarion, JVC, Kenwood, Pioneer and Sony head units.
NOTE: FOR UNBRANDED/ CHINESE HEAD UNITS YOU WILL REQUIRE A DEDICATED 49-000 PATCH LEADDouble DIN Fascia Fitting Kit (50-981)
This fascia adaptor allows the fitting of an aftermarket radio into the dashboard by matching the shape, style and colour of the original radio. This fascia kit uses side fixing brackets, the brackets fit directly to the sides of the new radio and the fascia panel. This replaces the need for a fitting cage and gives a flush professional appearance to the installation.
COLOUR: MATT BLACK
PLEASE NOTE:
- This fitting kit allows you to connect a new aftermarket radio directly to the cars speakers after bypassing the original amplifier which is under the front seat while retaining the original subwoofer and its dedicated amplifier.
- After bypassing the amplifier the centre speaker in the vehicle will no longer function
- Not suitable for Porsche systems with the Burmester sound system upgrade
The difference of having PCM 3.1 or CDR 3.1 is the buttons in the units centre console.

If your system has CD/ AUX button and AM/FM buttons then you have a CDR 3.1/ CDR31

If your system has NAVI/ MAP buttons and a SD Slot then you have a PCM 3.1
