Seat Double DIN car stereo upgrade fitting kit (STEERING CONTROLS) Single Fakra

Complete stereo upgrade fitting kit to install an aftermarket Double DIN car stereo head unit and retain the use of the steering wheel controls into select Volkswagen and VW Group vehicle models from 2005 Onwards.

This head unit fitting kit includes:

• Radio replacement steering wheel adapter interface (49-VW-01)

• Double DIN fascia adapter panel (50-714)

Fakra to DIN antenna adapter cable (12v phantom) with bullet connection (21-123K)

This cable converts the original antenna connector in the car, known as a Fakra connector, to a standard aftermarket antenna connector, known as a DIN connector.

Radio replacement steering wheel adapter interface (49-VW-01)

The CANbus interface and radio adapter cable is plug and play, it is used to connect an aftermarket stereo upgrade and retain the use of the volume, track skip, source, mute and phone buttons from the steering wheel with the new radio. The CANbus interface will also provide ignition, illumination, speed pulse, reverse gear and handbrake outputs signals to the new stereo.

Universal SWC Patch Lead (49-025)

Universal patch lead to be used with In car Tec 49 series steering wheel control interfaces. Use for Alpine, Clarion, JVC, Kenwood, Pioneer and Sony head units.

Double DIN Fascia adapter panel (50-714)

Car radio Fascia adaptor panel to allow the fitting of an aftermarket Double Din car radio upgrade. Dimensions: 184mm x 114mm. The Fascia adaptor allows the fitting of an aftermarket radio into the dashboard by matching the shape, style and colour of the original radio. The Fascia adapter panel takes a 113mm high cage, this is the size of cages supplied with all the major brand head unit manufactures. If a cage is needed, we sell a matching cage with part number 51-013.

Compatibility

This fitting kit is compatible with Volkswagen vehicles fitting with OEM factory fitted RCD210 head units. These units were fitted in various VW car models and only have a single Fakra connection on the back. Please see pictures below.
