OBDII Installation Cable
Designed for easy installation, the OBDII cable enables built-in Parking Surveillance Modes; Motion Detection, Impact Detection, Time Lapse Mode*, Energy Saving Mode*. Compatible with all Thinkware Dash Cams, except for the F790 model.

Professional installation without hardwiring – The OBDII power cable has been designed to simplify installation and ensure seamless integration for enabling the built-in parking surveillance modes in your Thinkware Dash Cam.
As no physical Hardwiring in necessary, This method should allow for a simple installation, plugging directly into your OBDII diagnostic port. This still allows for the OBDII port to be used.
Activates parking Mode – The OBDII cable allows the activation of the Thinkware dash cam parking Mode, The unit will start after 2.5 minutes to allow for vehicles with stop/start technology.
SD Memory card is optional extra, please select.

2K QHD Video Quality

Energy Saving Parking Recording
Reduce power consumption and provides longer video recording than normal parking mode. When you are away from your car for an extended period of time, energy saving parking recording is a recommended solution. When in use, the device will go to sleep and after an impact has been detected by the built-in G-sensor, it will wake up within a second and start recording for the next 20 seconds.
Smart Parking Mode
When a high temperature occurs, it switches to Low power mode, and when it enters a stable Temperature, it actively changes to the existing Recording mode.

Super Night vision
Whilst in parking mode the Thinkware camera uses advancements in lens and computing power to revolutionise night time recording with their Trademarked Super Night Vision.
The system uses ISP (Image Signal Processing) technology and real-time image processing to capture far greater detail at night, further protecting your vehicle whilst parked.
PARKING SURVEILLANCE MODE
Parking mode is a feature of dash cams that are either hardwired or using the OBD2 Connector. This allows them to continue recording while your car is parked and turned off. All Thinkware dashcams continuously monitor the health of the vehicle’s battery and will shut down if it detects any issues. Please note: A hardwire or OBDII cable installation is required for Parking Mode functionality
Motion Detection
- Monitor and capture any motion around the vehicle for potential vandalism attempts.
Impact Detection
- Monitor any impact to the vehicle while it is parked to catch any hit-and-run driver in the act while you are away.
Time Lapse
Catch any potential bumps, scrapes and other incidents by recording footage from your vehicle when you are not nearby
Important clips and images may get deleted due to insufficient memory space during long continuous recordings especially in standard parking recording mode which requires large memory for saving 15 to 30 frames per second.
TIME LAPSE MODE in the Q850 records 2 frames per second reducing the size of the video file. This allows video recordings in parking mode to continue up to 10 times longer than the motion detection recording.

Multiple Recording Modes
Protect your car when you are away. The Thinkware Q850 automatically switches to Parking Mode to monitor your parked vehicle. Thanks to video buffer, the few seconds leading to triggering events are also recorded.
Continuous Recording Mode
This mode is activated automatically when you start the engine. Recorded videos are saved in one-minute segments with an auto-looping mechanism.
Incident Recording Mode
The Active Impact Monitoring System will automatically store the video data ten seconds prior to and after a collision registered by the 3-axis G-Sensor.
Manual Recording Mode
Similar to a video camera, you can use the Manual Recording Mode to capture events that occur in front of your vehicle whether or not it is in motion.
Fail-Safe Recording
In the event that the power gets disconnected after an accident, the fail-safe recording uses the Super Capacitor for backup power to ensure safe storage of any recording in progress.

GPS Mapping
With GPS, all Thinkware dash cams can record the vehicle’s driving speed and provide its precise location and routes identification on the map. The GPS Tracker helps you to accurately assess the details of the surrounding area. The PC/Mac viewer can then provide you with the vehicle speed and the time of a collision, and the severity of any impacts.
High temperature Protection System
Protects your dashboard camera from overheating and causing potentially irreversible damage to it or its data.
The specially designed heat discharge construction and the built-in thermal sensor of the dash cam protects the device and its data against intense heat by automatically turning it off to prevent overheating. All Thinkware cameras use a Super Capacitor, designed with Temperature Protection, for an emergency power source in the event of a crash or sudden power loss, allowing the unit to save the last 10 seconds of an incident.
