Retrofit Car Stereo Fitting Kit - Mercedes Benz (Audio 5)

A complete aftermarket car stereo fitting kit for Mercedes Benz vehicles fitted with the Audio 5 / Sound 5 system.  This car audio installation kit will enable you to change the original audio system in Mercedes Benz vehicles to a double DIN aftermarket car audio system. This retrofit installation kit is suitable for specific Mercedes Benz vehicles manufactured between 2003-2018. This specific kit allows the fitting of an aftermarket car stereo into the dashboard by matching the shape, style, size and colour of the original OEM factory fitted unit. The facia is finished in matt black and is flush fit, making it easier to adjust the fascia to the new aftermarket car stereo, making for a more professional finish.

This installation kit includes the following:

Fakra to DIN antenna adapter cable (21-106)
Male Fakra to Male DIN antenna adapter cable. This cable adapts from a Farka antenna connection at the back of the cars original radio to a standard aftermarket DIN antenna connection to allow the fitting of an aftermarket radio upgrade. This is a passive adapter cable, not suitable for cars that need a phantom power supply to turn on the antenna amplifier.

Mercedes Audio 5/Sound 5 Steering wheel control Interface (39-MB-A05)
CANbus steering wheel control interface for Mercedes vehicles with factory fitted Audio 5/Sound 5 systems. This interface uses ISO connections behind the original radio to allow the use of the original steering wheel control buttons with a new aftermarket head-unit. It also provides CANbus outputs as well as Ignition, speed pulse, reverse, handbrake and illumination signals. Can also be used on some 1st Gen VW Crafter vehicles.
The interface also comes complete with instructions and a universal patch lead which can be used with Alpine, Blaupunkt, Clarion, Pioneer, JVC, Kenwood, Sony or Zenec Head-units.

Mercedes Double DIN car audio facia adapter (50-711)
Car radio Fascia adaptor panel to allow the fitting of an aftermarket double DIN car radio upgrade. The Fascia adaptor allows the fitting of an aftermarket radio into the dashboard by matching the shape, style and colour of the original radio. Dimensions: 184mm x 114mm. The Fascia adapter panel takes a 113mm high cage, this is the size of cages supplied with all major brand head unit manufacturers.
