Dension Gateway Enabler for BMW vehicles - gen2bme
To operate the Gateway 500S, Gateway 500S BT, or Gateway 500 product, certain options have to be enabled in the car audio system, which might not be set by default in all BMW vehicles. Enabling these protocols normally requires a car diagnostics tool (e.g. Autologic) and the expertise of a BMW specialized workshop.
The GEN tool provides these specific enabling/disabling diagnostics functions only through the ODB 2 interface, thus making it a small and affordable device to help the installation/removal of the Gateway product.

| If vehicle has any faults underlying then the Enabler tool will not operate. We cannot accept Return on this product if it has been connected in the vehicle. Despite all efforts and several tests Dension cannot guarantee that by using the GEN tool there is no need for a professional diagnostics tool to enable the features on certain vehicles. The GEN tool can replace the enabling functions of a professional diagnostics tool in many cases, but it does not replace the skills of a professional installer. |
