Land Rover Discovery 3, Range Rover Sport car stereo upgrade fitting kit (Harman Kardon Audio)

Complete fitting kit to change the original radio in a Discovery 3 or a Range Rover Sport with original Harman/Kardon amplified audio system (not LOGIC7 system) and without the touch screen navigation for a Double DIN after market head unit.

This complete Double DIN fitting kit includes:

PLEASE NOTE: Suitable for vehicles with Harman/Kardon audio and without top touchscreen Navigation, Not suitable for Harman Kardon Logic 7

Amplifier bypass cable (20-308-SPK)

Amplifier bypass cable for Range Rover Sport and Discovery III cars fitted with standard Harman/Kardon amplifier underneath the driver's seat. Allows you to connect a new aftermarket radio directly to the car's speakers after bypassing the original amplifier. A new extra amplifier will be needed to keep the original sub-woofer. Sound to tweeters may be lost.

Antenna adapter (Part of 29-758)

This cable converts the original antenna connector in the car, known as a Fakra connector, to a standard aftermarket antenna connector, known as a DIN connector. The adapter cable has a built in module which provides a phantom power feed to the original antenna in the car. A phantom power feed is a 12v power supply that is sent up the centre wire of the antenna cable, this powers the amplifier built into the original antenna. The antenna adapter cable has a loose wire which needs to be connected to the 12v antenna power output of the new aftermarket stereo.

Steering control interface (29-758)

Discovery 3 and Range Rover Sport with Harmon Kardon (WITHOUT TOP DISPLAY) Car Audio Steering wheel interface and iso connectors allowing use of original buttons with a new aftermarket head-unit. If your car has an amplified speaker system you will need to bypass the amplifier located in the drivers side rear quarter panel or under the driver's seat. PLEASE NOTE: NOT SUITABLE FOR CARS WITH ORIGINAL ALPINE PREMIUM SOUND SYSTEM OR HARMAN/KARDON LOGIC 7 AMPLIFIED SYSTEMS

Universal SWC patch lead (29-025)

Universal patch lead to be used with In car Tec 29- series steering wheel control interfaces. This cable plugs into the ICT control box and connects to the 3.5mm socket or single wire on the back of the new head-unit. This item has loose wires and leads so it can be configured to suit the brand of radio being fitted.

Double DIN fascia and fitting cage (50-853)

Car radio fascia adaptor panel to allow the fitting of an aftermarket Double Din car radio upgrade. The fascia adaptor allows the fitting of an aftermarket radio into the dashboard by matching the shape, style and colour of the original radio. This fascia is supplied with a fitting cage so no additional fitting cage is required. The fascia adapter will give a flush mount and professional appearance to the installation. The fascia is designed to fit various Land Rover cars.

Installation notes

This fitting kit is only suitable for select Land Rover Discovery 3 and Range Rover Sport car models with the HI ICE Pack. This system consists of Eight speakers, passive subwoofer, Harman/Kardon® branding on the speaker grilles, an audio amplifier, in-dash six CD changer and steering wheel mounted audio controls.

These were usually found on Land Rover Discovery 3 (V6 SE,TDV6 SE, TDV6 HSE and V8 HSE) model variants, as well as select Range Rover Sport model variants.
