Range Rover Sport/Discovery 3 car stereo fitting kit (Harman Kardon with screen retention)

Complete fitting kit to change the original radio in a Range Rover Sport or Discovery 3 with original Harman/Kardon amplified audio system (not LOGIC7) for a Double DIN aftermarket unit and also retain the use of the original nav/vehicle info display screen.

This head unit fitting kit includes:

PLEASE NOTE: This kit is for vehicles with the Harman/Kardon audio system and touch screen NAV, will not fit vehicles with Harman/ Kardon Logic 7 audio systems.

Amplifier bypass cable (20-308-SPK)

Amplifier bypass cable for Range Rover Sport and Discovery III cars fitted with standard Harman/Kardon amplifier underneath the driver's seat. Allows you to connect a new aftermarket radio directly to the car's speakers after bypassing the original amplifier. A new extra amplifier will be needed to keep the original sub-woofer. Sound to tweeters may be lost.

Antenna adapter (21-123)

This cable converts the original antenna connector in the car, known as a Fakra connector, to a standard aftermarket antenna connector, known as a DIN connector. The adapter cable has a built in module which provides a phantom power feed to the original antenna in the car. A phantom power feed is a 12v power supply that is sent up the centre wire of the antenna cable, this powers the amplifier built into the original antenna. The antenna adapter cable has a loose wire which needs to be connected to the 12v antenna power output of the new aftermarket stereo.

Steering control interface (29-712)

The steering wheel control interface will allow the audio controls on the radio to work with an after market radio. This special lead also allows the original head unit to remain connected and relocated in the dashboard, this keeps the original screen above the radio working. This cable fits behind the radio and also allows the original head unit to be relocated behind the dashboard. This screen displays vehicle information and navigation. An additional interface is required to keep the original navigation audio working.

Universal SWC patch lead (29-025)

Universal patch lead to be used with In car Tec 29- series steering wheel control interfaces. This cable plugs into the ICT control box and connects to the 3.5mm socket or single wire on the back of the new head-unit. This item has loose wires and leads so it can be configured to suit the brand of radio being fitted.

Double DIN fascia and fitting cage (50-853)

Car radio fascia adaptor panel to allow the fitting of an aftermarket Double Din car radio upgrade. The fascia adaptor allows the fitting of an aftermarket radio into the dashboard by matching the shape, style and colour of the original radio. This fascia is supplied with a fitting cage so no additional fitting cage is required. The fascia adapter will give a flush mount and professional appearance to the installation. The fascia is designed to fit various Landrover cars.

PLEASE NOTE: This fitting kit will retain the use of the original navigation and vehicle settings screen, however, the navigation audio will be lost. An additional NAVAMP interface will be required to retain the navigation audio.

A new extra amplifier will be needed to keep the original sub-woofer. NOT FOR LOGIC 7 SYSTEMS
