BMW X1 (E84) Double DIN Car Stereo Upgrade Fitting Kit with Steering Controls (PDC RETENTION)
Complete stereo upgrade kit to install a Double DIN aftermarket car stereo head unit and retain the use of the steering wheel controls and Parking sensor tones in BMW X1 (E84) (2009-2015) car models.
This Head Unit Fitting Kit Includes:

Fakra to DIN Antenna Adapter Cable (21-106)
Male Fakra to Male DIN antenna adapter cable. This cable adapts from a Farka antenna connection at the back of the cars original radio to a standard aftermarket DIN antenna connection to allow the fitting of an aftermarket radio upgrade. This is a passive adapter cable, not suitable for cars that need a phantom power supply to turn on the antenna amplifier.
Parking Sensor Retention Interface (25-514)
CANbus interface to retain the original parking distance control (PDC) tones and other vehicle warning chimes that are lost when replacing the radio in various BMW, Citroen, Peugeot, Volvo and Ford cars. The original parking tones and warning chimes in many cars are produced by the original radio and when an aftermarket radio is fitted these tones are lost. This CANbus interface reads the data in the car and reproduces the parking tones and warning chimes through an additional speaker. The interface has a universal adapter cable, this needs to be hardwired to the power, ground and CANbus wires in the car. Fitting instructions are included.
Steering Wheel Control Interface (49-BMW-01)
Steering wheel control interface and adapter cable for various BMW and Mini cars to fit an aftermarket radio upgrade. The cable adapts from the Quadlock connector in the car to standard ISO aftermarket ISO connectors. This replaces the need for a separate ISO radio replacement adapter cable. The CANbus steering wheel control interface is built in to the adapter cable for a plug and play installation.
This interface will allow the original audio control buttons on the steering wheel to work with the new aftermarket radio. The interface will work the volume, track skip, source and phone buttons. The CANbus interface will also provide CANbus key present ignition, illumination, speed pulse, reverse gear and handbrake outputs.
A key present ignition means the stereo will turn on with the first click of the key and stay on until the key is removed from the ignition barrel.
PLEASE NOTE: This interface can be programmed for "PRE-IGNITION" (RADIO ON WHEN YOU OPEN THE DOOR). Press phone button for 10 seconds to enable or disable this feature.
Some BMW cars go into Eco mode and the +12V supply to the radio drops causing the memory of the new radio to be lost, these cars will need a power supply directly from the battery to be supplied.
Universal Patch Lead for Steering Control Interface (49-025)
A universal patch lead is supplied in the kit, this is to pair the steering control interface to the steering control input of Alpine, Clarion, JVC, Kenwood, Pioneer and Sony head units.
Radio Fascia and Climate Control Relocation Panels (50-975)
Car radio fascia adapter panel to allow the fitting of an aftermarket Double din car radio upgrade. The fascia kit also comes with an additional panel to relocate the climate control to the top of the dashboard, this is suitable for cars with automatic climate controls only.
