This head unit fitting kit includes:

Antenna adapter cable with bullet connector (21-123K)

This cable converts the original antenna connector in the car, known as a Fakra connector, to a standard aftermarket antenna connector, known as a DIN connector.

The adapter cable has a built in module which provides a phantom power feed to the original antenna in the car. A phantom power feed is a 12v power supply that is sent up the centre wire of the antenna cable, this powers the amplifier built into the original antenna. The antenna adapter cable has a loose wire which needs to be connected to the 12v antenna power output of the new aftermarket stereo.

Steering wheel control interface and universal patch lead (39-MB-A20NTG2)

CANbus steering wheel control interface for Mercedes C (W200, CLK (W209), GL and M-class, Vito and Viano vehicles with original Mercedes NTG2 head units.

This interface uses quad-lock connections behind the original radio to allow the use of the original steering wheel control buttons with a new aftermarket head-unit. It also provides CANbus outputs as well as Ignition, speed pulse, reverse gear, handbrake and illumination signals to the new stereo.

For later SLK R171 models, Use this interface with the steering control buttons in a circular cluster. This change of steering wheel happened around 2008 models.

PLEASE NOTE: This interface comes with a universal patch lead which can be used with Alpine, Blaupunkt, Clarion, Pioneer, JVC, Kenwood, Sony, Zenec or resistive programming Head-units.

Flush mount Single/Double DIN fascia adapter panel (50-313)

Mercedes SLK R171 car radio fascia adapter panel to allow the fitting of an aftermarket Single or Double DIN car stereo upgrade. The fascia adaptor allows the fitting of an aftermarket radio into the dashboard by matching the shape, style and colour of the original radio. The fascia is a flush mount fascia, giving a very tidy and professional finish to the installation.

103mm double din fitting cage kit (51-012)

This kit is designed to replace the metal cage kit that is usually supplied with your new aftermarket double din head-unit or navigation system. It is used along with fascias that have 103mm high hole sizes. Complete with fixings to attach to the new car radio body.

PLEASE NOTE: This kit is for 2009 to 2011 facelift Mercedes SLK R171 cars with basic Mercedes NTG2 or navigation COMAND APS NTG2 original radios and non amplified audio systems.
