Volkswagen Transporter T5/ Touareg (2003-2009) Double DIN car stereo fitting kit (Hardwire Ignition)

Complete stereo upgrade fitting kit to install a Double DIN aftermarket car stereo head unit and generate a key present ignition supply in Volkswagen Touareg I (2003-2009) and Transporter T5/Multi van vehicles (Delta/ RNS2 radios).

This head unit fitting kit includes:

VW Quadlock to ISO radio adapter harness, hardwire ignition (20-156)

ISO adapter harness for Volkswagen group vehicles with quadlock connectors at the back of the radio. This adapter harness is designed to adapt from the original quadlock style connector in the dashboard to a standard aftermarket ISO connector to allow the fitting of a new radio.

This lead has a loose fly wire, this needs to be connected to an ignition power supply. The original radio in the car is turned on via a CANbus data signal so there is no ignition power supply in the vehicle's original connector.

Fakra to DIN aerial adapter cable with 12v phantom power (21-123)

This cable converts the original antenna connector in the car, known as a Fakra connector, to a standard aftermarket antenna connector, known as a DIN connector. The adapter cable has a built in module which provides a phantom power feed to the original antenna in the car. A phantom power feed is a 12v power supply that is sent up the centre wire of the antenna cable, this powers the amplifier built into the original antenna. The antenna adapter cable has a loose wire which needs to be connected to the 12v antenna power output of the new aftermarket stereo.

VW Touareg Double DIN fitting kit (50-716)

Replacement car audio fascia to enable you to change the original radio in the car to a Double DIN aftermarket version. This fascia is designed to replace the wider rectangular OEM radios.

Double DIN metal cage kit (51-012)

This kit is designed to replace the metal cage kit that is usually supplied with your new aftermarket double din head-unit or navigation system. It is used along with fascia's that have 103mm high hole sizes. This cage kit comes complete with fixings to attach to the new car radio body.

PLEASE NOTE: This fitting kit is suitable for 2003-2009 Volkswagen T5/Multivan vehicles with the original wider radios, Delta and RNS2, these radios are 23cm wide.
